(7-6-3) 5th in the Metrosexual Division

(11-3-1) First in the Metrosexual Division

Well after getting brutally fisted by the Rangers last game 5-0 at MSG the Penguins are looking to rebound and show the Rangers why they are number one in the Metropolitan Metrosexual Divison. The Penguins are coming off a two goal performance by Pascal Dupuis last night, the only two of the game as the Pens went on to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs and "Hockey Meccha" LMAO LMAO LMAO 2-1. The Rangers are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the Avalanche on Thursday. The Penguins managed to put 40 shots on Leafs goaltender Jonathan Bernier, which although they are the Leafs and they are bad, is a solid amount of shots any game. Penguins look to pick up two more points tonight against Rick Nash Trash and company. BTW GOLD JERSEYZZZZ!!!!

This game was really boring.  That's really all there is to say about this.

Pascal Dupuis scored to make it 1-0

Pascal Dupuis scored to make it 2-0.  Some jobber from the Leafs scored to make it 2-1.  The Penguins had to kill off a double minor by Evgeni Malkin late in the period after Malkin jumped Traffic Cone Phanuef after Phaneuf leveled Patric Hornqvist.  Thomas Greiss came up with some huge saves to give the Pens the win.

1) Pascal Dupuis
2. Your Mom*
3) Your Sister*

*NHL.com didn't have a 2nd or 3rd star for last nights game.  Jokes.

There is literally nothing else to say about this game.

Pens next game is in like 22 seconds.

Gameday: Game 15 - Pens at Leafs

Air Canada Centre - 7:30PM

TV: ROOT Sports
Radio: 105.9 The X

For the majority of their season so far, the Penguins have been playing their opponent on rookie mode. Well that all changed against the Rags on Wednesday as their 7 game winning streak came to an end under the extremely dim lights at MSG. It's only November and much to the surprise of this fan base, every team has bad games. Regardless, the Pens will look to bounce back tonight when they conclude their season long 5 game road trip in the Hockey Meca Toronto.

Notes and thoughts:
  • The Penguins and Leafs are 2 of the top 3 highest scoring teams in the League. The Pens lead the league with an average of 3.86 G/PG. The Leafs sit in 3rd, with 3.21 G/PG.
  • Tonight is gonna be a battle of a couple of the league's top power plays. The Penguins PP is still a cheat code, clicking at 35.6%. The Leafs power play clocks in at 24.1%. It's pretty obvious that both teams will try to stay out of the box which means Steve Downie will try to limit the number of players he kills on the ice tonight to under 6.
  • Toronto hasn't won a Stanley Cup since 1967. The Leafs fans are taking it pretty well though.
  • Tonight is the 2nd of 3 match ups between the Penguins and Toronto. The Penguins won the first game 5-2.

RECAP. Just One Of Those Nights. Pens LOSE

0

5

Last night the Penguins played the Rangers for the 1st time since being knocked out by them in the playoffs last season.  It was one of those games that nothing went right for the Pens and everything went right for the Rangers.  The Pens were due for a game like this.

Pens next game is Friday in Toronto at 7:30.  So expect puck drop to be at at least 8:00

Game Day. Game 14. Penguins vs Rangers

Madison Square Garden

TV: Root Sports Pitt
Radio: 105.9 The X

(10-2-1)

First in the Metrosexual Division)

(6-6-2)

(5th in the Metrosexual Division)

The Penguins will have their first meeting against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year and ultimately led to #EndDanBylsma campaign. This will also be a reunion as the Penguins will get to visit former recent teammates Lee Stempniak and Tanner MostDope Glass. The Rangers at 6-6-2 have struggled as of late coming off a 3-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers (LOLOLOL) and a 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs last week. Rick Nash is tied for the NHL lead in goals with Corey Perry at 11 goals, even though he should have never been on Team Canada and thinks that gold medals are chocolate coins... he's here nonetheless. Tonight at 7PM the Rangers look to end the seven game win streak by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Recap: BuffaLOL. Bort and One Step Closer to McDavid

(10-2-1)

6

(3-11-2)

1

Since football is on and the Sabres are bad bare with us for this really half-assed game recap. In a way, the recap will look a lot like the Buffalo Sabres. There's a ton of potential but it's just not going to be that good. Oh well, Connor McDavid is one game closer to being a Sabre. Crosby was good however, and the Penguins too.

Goals were scored. Letang got it started a 1:21 into the game with an assist by Crosby (it'll be a common theme). Hornqvist scores two minutes later assist by Crosby. Letang scores with about five minutes to go in the first, assist by Crosby. 3-0 Pens end of the first. Buffalo is terrible.

About five minutes into the first, Hornqvist scores, assist by Crosby. Then about nine minutes later  Bortuzzo does some unreal toe drag past some degenerate Sabre (probably Tyler Myers because he's worthless) to beat Enroth. Assist by Crosby. The Penguins decided to let Buffalo score about three minutes later just to make sure they didn't try to rage quit. Girgensons the goal. Then with under a minute to go in the 2nd, Malkin scored after some unreal play by Blake Comeau to get the puck through the crease to Malkin's skate and which Malkin did dirty Russian things.

Just like the Buffalo Sabres, nothing happened and it was uneventful.

3rd: Patric Hornqvist (2 goals, 1 assist = 3 points)

2nd: Kris Letang (2 goals, 2 assists = points

1st: Sidney Crosby ( 5 assists)

Buffalo Sabres

Five assists

Game Notes

  • Sabres are bad
  • Crosby = 3rd career 5 assist game
  • Penguins still have their penalty kill streak during 7 game streak 25/25
  • Penguins powerplay clicked again after being 0/5 against the Jets going 2/5
  • Fleury - 9-2 on the year but don't forget he sucks
Next game: Tuesday @ MSG  against the Rangers 7PM

*Thank you for bearing with this horrible recap* But we felt our effort for this recap was based on how the Sabres played. They didn't try and neither did we. But hey, Buffalo is the lucky number 66 in terms of games away from getting McDavid.
