So since the NHL is still dead, even with training camp only two weeks away, we're still focused on the one thing in Pittsburgh that actually matters right now.

The Pirates have won 4 of 5 on a current 7 game road trip to San Diego and San Francisco.  Last night, Clint Barmes hit a 3 run home run in the 7th inning to give the Bucs an eventual 3-1 victory.
The Pirates are 76-52 with a 1 game lead on St. Louis for the NL Central lead.

6 wins away from a generation of losing.

Get your party stuff ready because its about time to get #BucnCray as Haylie said.  Win #82 could happen within the next week or so.

Sidney Crosby DMV, Realignment, etc.

So a couple things have happened since our last post.

The NHL now owns the New Jersey Devils and the Phoenix Coyotes now have a legit owner and will be staying in Glendale for awhile.

Sidney Crosby skipped the line at the DMV.  In other words....

Pretty bad that the Crosby story was big news.

We almost forgot about Realignment

Where the NHL came up with the Metropolitan Division, no one knows.

Pretty Much The Only Thing Going On Right Now

So since this NHL off season has sucked Donkey Cock this is pretty much the only thing going on right now:

The Pirates are 68-44.  24 games over 500.  No this isn't on our video game either.  Late August/early September could be pretty special in Pittsburgh.  Might turn this into a Pirates blog for the rest of the season.  Maybe.



Also.  Happy Birthday to that Sidney Crosby guy.  We hear he's pretty good at hockey.
