Recap: BuffaLOL. Bort and One Step Closer to McDavid

(10-2-1)

Since football is on and the Sabres are bad bare with us for this really half-assed game recap. In a way, the recap will look a lot like the Buffalo Sabres. There's a ton of potential but it's just not going to be that good. Oh well, Connor McDavid is one game closer to being a Sabre. Crosby was good however, and the Penguins too.

Goals were scored. Letang got it started a 1:21 into the game with an assist by Crosby (it'll be a common theme). Hornqvist scores two minutes later assist by Crosby. Letang scores with about five minutes to go in the first, assist by Crosby. 3-0 Pens end of the first. Buffalo is terrible.

About five minutes into the first, Hornqvist scores, assist by Crosby. Then about nine minutes later  Bortuzzo does some unreal toe drag past some degenerate Sabre (probably Tyler Myers because he's worthless) to beat Enroth. Assist by Crosby. The Penguins decided to let Buffalo score about three minutes later just to make sure they didn't try to rage quit. Girgensons the goal. Then with under a minute to go in the 2nd, Malkin scored after some unreal play by Blake Comeau to get the puck through the crease to Malkin's skate and which Malkin did dirty Russian things.

Just like the Buffalo Sabres, nothing happened and it was uneventful.

3rd: Patric Hornqvist (2 goals, 1 assist = 3 points)

2nd: Kris Letang (2 goals, 2 assists = points

1st: Sidney Crosby ( 5 assists)

Buffalo Sabres

Five assists

Game Notes

  • Sabres are bad
  • Crosby = 3rd career 5 assist game
  • Penguins still have their penalty kill streak during 7 game streak 25/25
  • Penguins powerplay clicked again after being 0/5 against the Jets going 2/5
  • Fleury - 9-2 on the year but don't forget he sucks
Next game: Tuesday @ MSG  against the Rangers 7PM

*Thank you for bearing with this horrible recap* But we felt our effort for this recap was based on how the Sabres played. They didn't try and neither did we. But hey, Buffalo is the lucky number 66 in terms of games away from getting McDavid.
