#61 Luca Caputi
Luca Caputi played a whopping 9 games in a Penguins uniform. He pulled a Lemieux his first game, scoring his first career goal on his first shift in the NHL against the Montreal Canadiens.
His first career goal against the Canadiens was his only that season. He played only 5 games total during that 2008-2009 campaign, registering zero assists and 4 penalty minutes.
Caputi's second stint with the Penguins came during the 2009-2010 season. He was called up from Wilkes-Barre when Chris Kunitz went down with an injury. He played 4 games that season getting a goal, an assist, and 2 penalty minutes.
Caputi's Penguins career came to an end when he was traded to the Maple Leafs with Martin Skoula for Alexei Ponikarovsky on March 2, 2010.
What Caputi may be remembered for the most however is something he didn't even have control over, his name. Luca Caputi is probably one of the Top 5 players names we've seen in hockey. Caputi's name was even the inspiration for a rap song written by Mikey and Big Bob from the Freakshow.
There's not really much else to say about Caputi. He had a pretty short stint with the Penguins, although he did spend several years in their minor league system. As for now, Caputi is playing hockey over in Sweden for some team called IK Oskarshamn apparently.
Now that the Luca Caputi Rap Song is stuck in your head, make sure you tune in tomorrow (later today) to see who number 60 is. Until then, here's some people hurting themselves.
