Last night was New Years Eve. You think you are actually getting a full recap? Lol.
The teams traded goals in the 1st period. Eric Staal gave the Canes a lead but Chris Kunitz tied it late. The game would remain tied at 1 for the rest of the game pretty much. The game looked like it was going to overtime because Marc Andre Fleury and Cam Ward were locked into a goalie duel. Yes you read that right. Cam Ward was in a goalie duel. But Brandon Sutter had other ideas. He sniped one on Cam Ward to give the Penguins the lead and the win.
Pens next game is tomorrow against Tampa.
