The Penguins finally snapped out of a season long 4 game losing streak on New Years Eve beating Carolina 2-1 on a late Brandon Sutter goal.  Marc Andre Fleury was spectacular once again to help the Penguins secure the win.  Tampa will be making their 2nd appearance in Corporate Entitlement Center this year.  The last time these 2 teams got together the Lightning got out to a 4 goal lead.  The Pens almost brought it all the way back but fell short.  Definitely look to see a good game between these top Eastern Conference teams tonight.

• In case you missed it the Penguins acquired winger David Perron for a 1st Round pick in 2015 and Rob Klinkhammer.  Great pick up for the Pens.  They get a top 6 winger and held onto all of their prospects.  That leaves the door open to acquire another top 6 guy.
• Downie 3:16 returns to the line up tonight.
• The Penguins are finally starting to get some bodies back.  
• Also in case you missed it, Craig Adams and Evgeni Malkin got into a fight at today's morning skate.  Adam's walked away bloddy.  Word is Malkin called Adams a terrible hockey player and Adams took offense.  Adams tried to fight Malkin but Malkin proceeded to give Adams an RKO out of nowhere.  Still trying to confirm these reports tbh.
• Beau Bennett had an impact on the game against Carolina.  He tallied 2 assists.  Him and Brandon Sutter have some chemistry.
