Tonight is the third of four regular season meetings between the Pittsburgh Penguins (18-9-1) and the New York Islanders (8-15-4). In their last 10 games, the Pens are 7-2-1 and the Isles are 2-7-1. The Pens and Isles split their first two meetings, the Islanders winning the first in a 4-3 victory on October 25th and the Penguins winning the second in a 4-3 victory on November 22nd.
Congratulations to Evgeni Malkin! He was named NHL's 2nd Star for the month of November and 1st Star of the week. He now collectively has 35 points so far this season (1 behind Sidney Crosby) with 7 goals and 28 assists. Also, Geno and Sid are holding the 1st and 2nd spots for the most points in the NHL.
