The Cardiac Kids Strike Again. Pens WIN

 3
1

Insert some dumb Mecca comment here.  The Pens were back int Toronto for the 2nd time in under a week last night and for the second straight game made some young goalie look like Patrick Roy for about 50 minutes.  This was another snoozer so short recap city again.  The first period was whatever.  Both teams a like one chance.  That was pretty much it.  Business picked up a little in the 2nd.  Tyler Bozak and his Scott Hartnell wanna be mop put one past MAF to make it 1-0.  Really hard to blame anyone on that goal.  Nice play by the Leafs.  Both teams had a power play or something during the 2nd.  Nothing happened.  3rd period saw both teams getting some nice chances.  MAF was in the Leafs mouth all night.  If not for him it would have been like 6-0.  But the Pens kept it at 1-0.  MAF was sharp and the penalty kill rose to the occasion when they had to.  Under 10 minutes to play, again, the Cardiac Kids woke up.  Led by who else, Best In The World and the first line.  Kunitz found Best In The World in the left faceoff circle, he did some unreal, no look, spin o rama, back hand pass to Pascal Dupuis.  Dupuis put it home to make it 1-1.
Best video we could find unfortunately.  No one else has the grapefruits to pull off that pass.
The under 3 minutes to play the Pens first line would strike again.  Best In The World broke up a pass and Chris Kunitz took it the other way.  He waited and waited and found Pascal Dupuis who launched one by Scrivens to make it 2-1.  The Pens buckled down the fort after that.  Orpik took a penalty late in the 3rd.  The Pens PK rose up again and Craig Adams hit a shot from Ottawa to ice the game 3-1.

3 STARS
1.  Best In The World
2. Pascal Dupuis
3. Marc Andre Fleury

Stuff:
  • MAF was sharp all game.
  • PK rose to the occasion last night.
  • Pascal Dupuis with his 2nd 2 goal game this week.
  • Ho hum another 2 point night for Best In The World.
  • Chris Kunitz is all by himself at number 2 in scoring in the NHL.
  • The Leafs have lost 4 straight.
  • Not much is better than getting a win in Toronto just because of butt hurt Maple Leafs fans.  Jokes.
  • Best In The World (12g 35a 47p) Chris Kunitz (18g 21a 39p) and Pascal Dupuis (13g 6a 19p) are playing some unreal hockey right now.  What they are doing is just silly.
  • Simon Despres should never be taken out of the line up.  He had a monster game playing along side Kris Letang last night.
  • Pens are now 14-3-1 when Craig Adams scores.

Rangers come to town tomorrow at 1.

Go Pens
