HF Boards - Proposal: Flyers-Pens Trade

Sorry this is so late in the week, but a mixture of the HF Boards being slow on the Penguins front and schoolwork delayed this one, but this should be a masterpiece.

So this week, someone submitted a trade between the Flyers and Penguins.  If that sentence doesn't make you vomit, then you have a stronger stomach than you should probably have.

The Penguins and Flyers have only made 11 total trades between each other since 1967, so you know they're rare.

Only one or two of those trades had meaningful players involved (Recchi + for Tocchett + in 1992 and nothing from Philly for Kevin Stevens)

And we ALL know what GREAT things come from Philadelphia.

I mean they employ the best player in the world Clode.

The Philadelphia media is also the best! Remember this from the playoffs?

So enough bringing up stupid shit from Philly, and let's see how stupid this trade proposal will probably be....Dear God.

So this thread opens up with the following trade proposal.

Simon Despres and a 2nd

 Wayne Simmonds

Lets read the logic behind this trade.

Rivarly aside, I know that’s easier said than done, it would seem to that the Flyers and Pens could make good trade partners. Philadelphia has good depth at forward but could a PMD, while Pittsburgh has really good organizational depth at D but could use some grit up front.

Ummm...I could name 3 other plays who could add grit that don't wear Orange and probably wouldn't cost one of the best defensemen for the Pens this year.

Wow.

So of course when you have a Penguins-Flyers proposal on HF Boards, you obviously have chirping and trolling.

If you're trading for a Flyer, you trade for Voracek. Oh, and by the way this will never happen. You don't trade within your division, and you especially don't make a deal with the devil.

Although, I can't argue with this in the fact that Simmonds is overrated, Pascal Dupuis > Wayne Simmonds IMO.

Also, the only reason I trade for Voracek, is to trade him to Switzerland or some shit to stop him from being a Penguin Killer.
