PREGAME: Penguins vs. Coyotes

Consol Energy Center. 7:00. ROOT

It's a hockey night in Pittsburgh and the Penguins (46-20-5) are taking on the Phoenix Coyotes (34-26-12). Both Pittsburgh and Phoenix are coming into tonight's game off losses (PIT to STL in R, PHX to NYR in OT). With a win tonight, the Pens can clinch a spot in the playoffs. The last meeting between these two teams was on February 1st, the Coyotes triumphing in a 3-1 win.

Evgeni Malkin is out 2-3 weeks with a foot injury, ouch...

But the good news is that he will hopefully be healthy and ready by the time playoffs start. With Geno out, this could be Sutter's time to come up big and shine. He will be filling the empty spot on the second line tonight with Jokinen and Neal.
