RECAP. Montreal Soff. Pens WIN

5

1

Montreal and all their booooooooooooooo's made their first visit to Corporate Entitlement Center this season.  The Pens were coming off a game against the Panthers where they laid an egg.  No clue how Montreal is doing this season.  But after tonights game, no clue how they have any wins.  What a horrible hockey team

After looking like a we fart Monday night the Pens looked to bounce back.  And they came out flying.  Evgeni Malkin looked like he was on bath salts.  He was everywhere.  And it finally paid off.  He took a pass from Matt Niskanen and smoked Andrei Markov, which really isn't that hard lets be honest, and was in on Price.  Malkin didn't have an angle and instead of forcing a shot slipped a pass across to Jussi Jokinen who had a wide open goal to shoot at and he wasn't missing.  1-nil Pens.  Thanks Carolina.  Then the Pens would get a power play.  They had one earlier but couldn't do anything with it.  This time they did.  It was late in the power play but they made Montreal pay.  Matt Niskanen launched a bomb from the point and Taylor Pyatt's eyes deflected the puck by Fisher Price to make it 2-nil Pens.  Montreal showed limited signs of life in the 1st period.  It could have been 4-0.  But they hung around.  Fisher Price made some saves and the Habs ended up getting a goal to make it 2-1.  Someone got positioning on Matt Niskanen, shocker we know, and deflected a pass in to the goal.  The puck was in and out so fast no one knew it was a goal other than Montreal.  Play went on but once play stopped it was reviewed and a goal was called.  Montreal couls have made it a game when the got a power play late in the 1st.  But no dice.

Pens killed off the rest of the penalty and got down to business ending the Habs.  Team Finland hooked up for a pretty sweet goal to get thing rolling.  Olli Maatta grabbed a loose puck and whipped a pass across ice right to Jussi Jokinen who somehow got a one timer that knuckled past Fisher Price to make it 3-1.  TheP Pens got yet another power play.  And once again cashed in.  They worked the puck around and it eventually made its way to Kris Letang who fed a sick shot pass to Best In The World.  And well.  Best In The World did that thing he does a lot.  Score.  He deflected the shot pass by a helpless Fisher Price to make the score 4-1 Pens.

Then Evgeni Malkin continued his Flinnstone's Chewable Ecstasy trip.  Andrei Markov  kept up with the whole being a horrible defenseman thing he does when he got caught flat footed with Evgeni Malkin coming at him.  Malkin smoked him once again and walked in on goal.  Price got a stick on the puck but it stayed with Malkin who buried it to make it 5-1.  That was the last shot Fisher Price would face.

With the Pens up 4 goals in the 3rd period the Pens applied the Jacques Martin Scorpian Death Lock and suffocated the Habs.  Things got a little chippy late in the 3rd.  Brooks Orpik rode Brendan Gallagher into the boards.  Nothing dirty.  But you apparently can't do that to the God Send Team of the NHL.  God forbid you hit someone that plays for Montreal.  The Habs of course tool exception to it.  They took some shots at Orpik.  Then Rene Borque went out of his way to take a run a Brooks Orpik.  A scum occurred after the play was stopped.  And Brandon Prust eventually took a cheap shot at Brook Orpik and punched him in the jaw.  Classless move from someone who plays for the NHL's "Gold Standard" hockey team.  Everything broke down and MAF and Petr Budaj looked like the were gonna fight.  But the were stopped.  Whatever.  5-1.  Pens win.  Shove it up your ass Montreal.
