HF Boards - MAF

First of all, I'm new to this whole blogging thing.  So this might suck, almost as bad as the people on the HF Boards.  Last night after the loss, I was talking to Brandon on Twitter and we went to the HF Boards to cope with the loss.  If you have never read any posts in the HF Boards, let me be the first to tell you that these people are complete morons.

I also wanna state that I might be the biggest defender of MAF in the world.

As Brandon and I were reading threads on the HF boards, we came across a thread titled: Value of - MAF.

As most Pens fans would wonder, why the fuck would you even consider trading MAF.  But not to disappoint, the members that post on the HF Boards showed you how stupid people on the internet truly are, and probably made me lose some respect for mankind.

(Proof of the thread here)

So the thread opens up with some clown with this following statement:
Vokoun seems to back to his good old shape from the Florida days and MAF has been terrible so far. What can MAF land in a trade?

I'm thinking the answer should be the classic "a winger for Crosby". But how good of a winger?

While I do think Pittsburgh should trade him, maybe they should wait until closer to the deadline so that they don't sell low on him. He is a mediocre goaltender so I think he will bounce back at least somewhat from his current lousy streak.

After this opening statement, some idiot chimes in saying the Pens should trade Fleury to the Devils so Brodeur could retire.  Because trading your franchise goalie to a division rival makes complete sense.

Of course we all know how stupid some Maple Leafs fans are, and of course, a Maple Leafs fan doesn't disappoint with this:
Kessel + Reimer/Scrivens for MAF + 2013 first

Value wise, might be a little too much from Pittsburgh, but Reimer has been playing like the old Reimer.

Sorry bro, keep dreaming Fleury > Reimer by like a million.

Then this happens,
You fans of the Pens who think that MAF is anything more than mediocre or average if you will are seriously delusional and blinded by the fact that he is a former number 1 pick and a Stanley Cup winner. Vokoun on the other hand is elite and is likely to overtake MAF as the starter.

You do have a point though that the Pens will need a solid back-up if they trade him.

Sid's face says it all.

But Vokoun elite? What is this, 2000?

If that didn't make you punch yourself in the dick or go jump off the Stanwix Street bridge yet, then I'm sure we'll get there soon.

You're probably sitting wherever the fuck you are right now wondering where these fucking people come from.  Don't worry, I'm right there with you, and this is only the first page of this thread so buckle up.

The same guy who said Vokoun is elite at 38 said this
As for Pittsburgh winning without Crosby, they did that because even without him they are still pretty damn good on the offense.

I guess Fleury had nothing to do with the Pens making the playoffs that season?

MAF for Reimer + Kulemin + 4th.

When was Nikolai Kulemin ever relevant?

And then this idiot thinks the Blackhawks would actually do this, not that GMRS would even consider trading MAF.

MAF + Kennedy 1st
For
Kane + Crawford

No clue where they come up with this shit.

Page 3 was YAWN CITYY

Kessel for MAF and a 1st

??????? = only reaction I have to this

But after all the dumbasses, we finally find one guy who makes sense!

So Vokoun has a few good games, and MAF has a few awful ones...

And you decide you need to throw him under the bus?

I really do wonder with this world at times

Behind Crosby and Malkin, he's probably the best thing that's happened to the modern-era Penguins...

That about sums up the first MAF thread on the HF Boards but I wanted to point out one more stupid trade that I saw on the boards, this will make you go jump in front of a bus.

What would it take? Just imagine Crosby-Malkin-Ovechkin, Letang, Neal on the PP.  The Pens have a surplus of gritty wingers and at least one, maybe two will be gone at the end of the year. These guys who have won and know what it takes is what WSH needs right now.

How about Kunitz, Depres, Tangradi, Kennedy and two 1st round picks for Ovy and Laich? Could probably convert Laich to wing in the top 6. Pens have so many gritty wingers, they could lose two and easily fill the holes.

Heres proof that this exists and I didn't pull this out of my ass.
