In 30 Days...

In 30 days (from yesterday, 9-9) the Pittsburgh Penguins will play the Anaheim Ducks at the Consol Energy Center to open up the season. Since we suck at life and were all beat harder than Ray Rice's wife last night, we forgot to do this post.

There have been 15 players to don the number 30 in the Blue/white or black and gold for the Penguins.

Those players are Les Binkley, Marv Edwards, Cam Newton
Not this guy.

Andy Brown, Gary Inness, Bobby Taylor, Gord Laxton, Paul Gardner, Gary Edwards, Roberto Romano, Steve Guenette, Alain Chevrier, Philipee DeRouville, Jean-Sebastien Aubin, and Dany Sabourin.

What better player to write about than Jean-Sebastien Aubin?!
What a picture.

Jean-Sebastien Aubin was drafted in the 3rd Round of the 1995 Entry Draft by the Penguins. He began his career with the Penguins in the 98-99 season by playing in 17 games and posting a .908 save percentage and 2.22 GAA. Aubin ended up playing 6 years with the Penguins appearing in 168 games and posting a 63-72-11 record with a .901 save percentage and 2.92 GAA. Considering some of the teams Aubin played for in his latter years with the Penguins, those are actually decent numbers. Aubin split time in net with the Moooooose and was his backup for a few years before leaving the Penguins to play for the Leafs. He spent his final NHL season with the LA Kings in 07-08. Aubin played in Germany through the 2011 season before retiring from hockey (presumably).

Here are some Aubin videos.

Thats really it on Aubin, I mean, what do you want us to write? It's Jean-Sebastien Aubin for Christ's sake!

Until an hour from now or so.

Go Pens.
