This Date in Jagr History: February 1, 2000

Jaromir Jagr ended a 5 game point drought last night with an unreal snipe against Roberto Luongo and the Florida Panthers. He also took an elite interference penalty and even registered a hit. What a player.

"Old and washed up"

#JagrWatch has been full of lots of funny pictures and GIFs, but that's really it, zero actual news taking place. The hype train just keeps building and building, it's going to be either glorious or heartbreaking when it all comes to an end. Tears will be shed either way.

February 1, 2000:

Pittsburgh Penguins - 3
Washington Capitals - 2

Double J recorded 2 assists and 3 shots in that Penguins win over the Washington Capitals. He spent an unreal 26:33 of time on the ice. Olaf Kolzig was the goalie in the net for the Capitals.
