Ottawa and Craig Anderson's unworldly GAA came into Pittsburgh last night and the Pens were like "Lol cool story bro. We are scoring 4." Unfortunately what is remembered most from this game won't be James Neal scoring 2 goal, Sidney Crosby's 3 points, or a competent power play. What will be remembered most will be the Matt Cooke/Erik Karlsson incident. Cooke and Karlsson got tangled up going into the boards and Cooke's skate came down on the back of Karlsson's where there is no protection. Karlsson apparently has a lacerated tendon or some garbage like that. It looked more like a dive to us. But the way we described this accident makes it sound like Cooke did this on purpose. That is hardly the case. We'll let the guys from TSN handle this one.
Unreal job by TSN here. Professionalism at it's finest.
Stuff:
- Sidney Crosby had 3 points.
- James Neal scored twice.
- Tyler Kennedy had the least amount of ice time for any Penguins. (8:39) Lol.
- Matt Cooke got time with Malkin and Neal. Cooke looked good with them. Boychuk got bumped down to play with Sutter. They looked good together as well.
- Eric Tangradi got traded to the Winnipeg Jets for a 7th round pick. PRAISSSSSSE JEEEEEEESUS.
- The Pens called up Beau Bennett this morning.
- No supplemental discipline for Matt Cooke. No hearing or meeting with Shanlolhan either. As it should be.
- The Sens are a bunch of babies. They acted like Cooke called a timeout, pulled a scalpel out of his sock, and purposely cut out Karlssons achilles. Get real.
Winnipeg tomorrow at 8. Go Pens
