After a 3 day hiatus, the Pens are back and taking on the Habs for the 3rd and final time this regular season. Canadiens (26-11-5) are coming off a 2 game losing streak, last one being a 7-3 loss to the FLOLyers, while the Pens (32-10-0) have won the last 4. First 2 meetings were close in score, both leading to a Pens victory with a 7-6 win in OT and a 1-0 win in regulation.

- Crosby, Neal and Martin have all been on the ice for the past three days. No word on return yet. Neal is said to be symptom free. Also, Martin was said to be in full gear today.
- Malkin is still day-to-day.
- Penguins signed goaltender Eric Hartzell on Sunday to a one-year entry level contract. Hartzell had a record of 30-7-5, 1.57 goals-against average, and a .933 save percentage on 42 starts this season with Quinnipiac University.
- Ryan White (Habs) suspended 5 games on hit to Flyers D-man Kent Huskins.
